"The aeroplane" - Jan Age Fjørtoft

Fjørtoft joined Swindon as they gained promotion to the newly formed Premier League, for a record breaking fee of £500,000. He started off slow, not finding the net in his first few games, however in the second half of the season he boasted 13 goals from just 17 games, including a hat trick against Coventry City. His goals weren't enough to keep Swindon up, and they were relegated to the 1st Division. But Jan kept scoring, and every time he did, his iconic celebration followed. He left for Middlesbrough in 1995, but will long remain a legend at The Country Ground.
