"That European cup run" - Zoltan Gera

When Fulham took on Lithuania's FK Vetra in the Europa League qualifying rounds, few imagined they'd get anywhere near the knockout stages, never mind the final. But there's a reason this is one of the most memorable cup runs in English football. Having seen of Shakhtar, Juventus and Wolfsburg, in 3 incredibly tough ties, Fulham faced Hamburg in the semi-final. Having ended the first leg 0-0, it was down to what happened at Craven Cottage, and one man who would inevitable end up on the back page was Zoltan Gera. Having taken the tournament by storm, it was left down to him to score the winner to take Fulham to the Europa League final. They may not have the won the tournament, but if football was only about winning trophies, only 1% of fans would be happy. This cup run, and Zoltan Gera, will live long in the memory of the Cottagers.
