"South Coast hero" - David Norris
It's Easter weekend in 2012, and we have a South Coast derby on our hands. Never one for a quiet affair, the match between Southampton and Portsmouth certainly lived up to the hype. The Saints took the lead through Billy Sharp in the first half before Chris Maguire levelled for Pompey. Billy Sharp popped up with his second, but this time there was little time left, and 3 points looked like they were heading to Southampton. But it wasn't over, and Pompey play a long ball into the box, it's headed away from goal, but on the edge of the box, waiting for his moment was David Norris. He watches the ball come down, and swings his left foot at it, connecting beautifully. The ball sails into the bottom left corner, with the keeper nowhere near it. The blue side of St. Mary's goes absolutely wild as Norris secures a point in the South Coast derby!
