Nigel Martyn hits it long, Sheringham rises early for the header and gets fouled. Freekick! Before the cameras can even find him, Beckham has the ball in his hands. He places it down, with the world on his shoulders. Everyone thinks he's going to aim for the top right corner, including the keeper, but not David. He whips the ball into the top left, and the keeper doesn't even move. The net ripples, Old Trafford goes wild, and England are heading to the World Cup.
