"42 second screamer" - Roberto Di Matteo

It's the 1997 FA Cup final. Chelsea face Middlesbrough, who were appearing in their first FA Cup final. Unfortunately for them, they didn't get to enjoy it for too long. Just 30 seconds into the game, Di Matteo picks up the ball in his own half, the Middlesbrough defence splits like the red sea, and the Italian midfielder just keeps going. He gets to about 30 yards out from goal and unleashes a thunderstrike! The keeper tries to get a hand to it, but it goes through him, crashes off the underside of the crossbar and into the back of the net. Chelsea are 1-0 up within 42 seconds! Eddie Newton gets a second later in the day, and Chelsea secure the '97 FA Cup with a 2-0 win.
